Joe Martinez brings over 15 years of experience in developing, financing, designing, and constructing multifamily housing, retail, and mixed-use projects. During his career he has developed over 3,500 new housing units. He has also partnered to develop over 175,000 square feet of retail and 600,000 square feet of office projects. Joe believes that quality development can help strengthen our social fabric by fostering a sense of community and civic identity.
At RangeWater Real Estate, Joe leads and serves the Atlanta team in sourcing, structuring, and executing multifamily, single family rental (Storia), and mixed-use projects. Notable projects include The Maven in Suwanee, The Maverick in Peoplestown, and The Quincy in Holly Springs. RangeWater is a fully integrated multifamily real estate company that has acquired and developed over 26,000 multifamily units across the sunbelt.
Prior to RangeWater, Joe was the Director of Development for another Atlanta developer, where he oversaw the development of urban residential and mixed-use projects throughout the region. Before that, he also oversaw development in the Carolinas, San Francisco, and New York City.
Joe holds a Master of Real Estate from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, an MBA from Georgia State University, and a BA in Architecture from UNC Charlotte. Joe is honored to serve on the board of the Urban Land Institute Atlanta Chapter and is an active member of the Real Estate Advisory Council and the National Multi Housing Council. Joe also is a member and regular volunteer at Buckhead Church in Atlanta. He enjoys running, cycling, travel, and most importantly, family time with his wife and daughter.
