Maitland Luxury Apartments Planned West of 17-92

Developers of the Steel House in downtown Orlando and M North apartments near Mall at Millenia plan to start work on 237 apartment units spanning lakefront acreage in Maitland off Lake Avenue.

Pollack Shores will demolish the former Maitland Shores apartments on Lake Gem and then begin construction in the following two months with completion planned within 15 months. As planned, the new project will include three buildings with 238,000 square feet. Amenities are expected to include an extension of an existing bike and pedestrian trail, water activities, a dock and 20 private garages.

“This site checked all the boxes for our development strategy, and we’re pleased to offer a beautiful lakeside community that provides convenient access to a full range of lifestyle options for future residents,” stated Pollack Shores President Steven Shores. “The city of Maitland has been a great partner in this process, and we look forward to expanding our footprint in greater Orlando.

An affiliate of Pollack Shores purchased the 11.3 acre site for $8.6 million earlier this month, records show.

Poole & Poole Architecture is handling design for the project, while Oxford Construction will serve as general contractor. Matrix Residential, a subsidiary of Pollack Shores, will manage the property.
