Pollack Shores Announces Plans for Mixed-Use Development in Nashville’s Gulch Neighborhood

367-unit apartment complex with 9,000 square feet of retail and parking garage will serve as critical connector between Gulch and future growth in North Gulch 

Atlanta, Ga./Nashville, Tenn. (May 19, 15) – Pollack Shores Real Estate Group (“PSREG”) recently closed on the property containing the Gossett Building and several parcels behind the building comprising an entire block bordered by Church Street and 12th Avenue North in the Gulch neighborhood of Nashville. The company plans a mixed-use development for the property that will be true to place, mirroring the aesthetic of the neighborhood and livability of the neighborhood and surrounding community.

Pollack Shores’ planned mixed-use development includes a 367-unit upscale apartment community, 9,000 square feet of retail space and a parking garage. The plans for the new development pay homage to the Gossett building, which has been vacant and abandoned for years. . Pollack Shores will salvage and restore the vintage neon M.T. Gossett sign outside the building for future use in the development.

Features for the one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments include quartz countertops, European-style cabinets, luxury plank flooring, under mount sinks and stainless steel appliances. Matrix Residential, the multi-family residential management division of Pollack Shores, will manage the property. The management and tenants for the retail space have not yet been named, but the goal of the mixed-use development is to continue to add to the thriving urban lifestyle that is the Gulch.

The property is scheduled to have the first units available in Spring 2018. The purchase signifies the re-entry of Pollack Shores into the Nashville market since 2012. Pollack Shores’ other projects in the Nashville area include the South’s first LEED-certified neighborhood, Velocity in the Gulch.
