Pollack Shores Redevelops Suburban Office Park, Increases Walkability in Sandy Springs Area

Atlanta, GA (May 2016)Pollack Shores Real Estate Group (“PSREG”) closed on a parcel of land located at 5901 Peachtree-Dunwoody Road adjacent to the Palisades office park. Pollack Shores unveiled plans to expand the current property’s uses, while maintaining the existing office development.  The expansion will include 425 luxury residential units and 10,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space neighboring the commercial office park.

The additions to the Palisades office park are part of a trend in real estate development to increase the usability of current properties in already developed areas. The development of retail and restaurant space at Palisades will increase the quality of life for neighbors and office tenants looking to be a part of the live-work-play lifestyle.

Pollack Shores is also absorbing most of the costs for infrastructure improvements in the area, including the addition of an East-West Connector between Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Perimeter Center Parkway that will allow traffic to easily access the new 2.2M square foot State Farm Insurance regional headquarters expected to open in late 2016.

“As the city of Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs continue to grow, fewer undeveloped parcels of land are available. We were really drawn to Palisades’ proximity to MARTA and its location near numerous job centers in the Perimeter market,” says Pollack Shores’ Managing Director, Michael Blair.  “We feel the property is a perfect candidate to redevelop into a more usable and walkable destination that better serves the existing office tenants, neighboring properties and future residents.”

The residential units consist one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments featuring luxury plank flooring, large kitchen islands, granite and quartz countertops, under mount sinks and pendant lighting. The property will also feature a common greenspace between the two buildings that will be available to residents and office tenants alike. Similarly, the retail space along the new East-West Connector will be programmed to service both the residents and office tenants.

The redevelopment is expected to be complete by winter 2018. Matrix Residential, the multi-family residential management division of Pollack Shores, will manage the residential portion of the property
