Pollack Shores to Build 425 Apartments, Retail in Sandy Springs
Press Release

Pollack Shores Real Estate Group has closed on a parcel at 5901 Peachtree-Dunwoody Road where the company plans to build 425 luxury apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
The property is adjacent to Palisades office park. The project is expected to be complete by winter 2018.
The additions to the Palisades office park are part of a trend in real estate development to increase the usability of current properties in already developed areas, Pollack Shores said.
“As the city of Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs continue to grow, fewer undeveloped parcels of land are available,” said Pollack Shores’ Managing Director, Michael Blair, in a prepared statement. “ We were really drawn to Palisades’ proximity to MARTA and its location near numerous job centers in the Perimeter market. We feel the property is a perfect candidate to redevelop into a more usable and walkable destination that better serves the existing office tenants, neighboring properties and future residents.”
The development of retail and restaurant space at Palisades will increase the quality of life for neighbors and office tenants looking to be a part of the live-work-play lifestyle, the company adds.
Pollack Shores said it will absorb most of the costs for infrastructure improvements in the area, including the addition of an East-West Connector between Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Perimeter Center Parkway that will allow traffic to easily access the new 2.2 million square foot State Farm Insurance regional headquarters expected to open in late 2016.
According to Pollack Shores:
The residential units include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments featuring luxury plank flooring, large kitchen islands, granite and quartz countertops, under mount sinks and pendant lighting. The property will also feature a common greenspace between the two buildings that will be available to residents and office tenants alike. Similarly, the retail space along the new East-West Connector will be programmed to service both the residents and office tenants.
