A Roundup of Charlotte's Latest Multifamily, Residential Projects in the Works
Press Release

A couple of high-profile sites in uptown Charlotte traded hands in January, which could significantly add to the Queen City's apartment stock down the road.
One of those sales — Lennar's $23 million purchase of several parcels bounded by the light-rail extension — is expected to bring a mixed-use project with a major apartment component to the First Ward neighborhood in the future. Another closed deal — involving the former Actor's Theatre of Charlotte site at 650 E. Stonewall St. — includes plans for more than 300 apartments and 11,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Along that same Stonewall corridor, Northwood Ravin started construction of a mixed-use development at the corner of Caldwell and East Stonewall streets. That project — to include a rooftop private bar and dog park — will add a total of 421 luxury units scattered between a 20-story tower and a low-rise building. Construction is slated for completion in mid-2018.
