CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 12, 2021) – RangeWater Real Estate has broken ground on The Kendry, the multifamily real estate company’s latest project in Charlotte, N.C.
“This is our sixth ground-up development project in the Charlotte submarket,” said Steven Shores, President & CEO of RangeWater. “The Kendry represents our continued investment in North Carolina and the growth trajectory of the city as a whole. Our team’s ability to tap into the heartbeat of the neighborhood and offer an authentic lifestyle experience syncs well with our purpose to create fulfilling experiences.”
Located in the University City neighborhood, The Kendry will be near the new corporate headquarters for healthcare giant Centene, IBM’s local corporate offices, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the Mecklenburg County greenway and light rail, specifically the Doby Creek Greenway.
The Class A apartment project will have 300 residences in three buildings with a clubhouse and courtyard pool in a beautiful wooded setting on 56 acres. Construction is expected to be completed in 2022. The project is located 1029 West W.T. Harris Boulevard in Charlotte.
“The Kendry will serve Charlotte professionals seeking a quality home in a walkable neighborhood,” said Palmer McArthur, Managing Director of Development for the Carolinas and Tennessee at RangeWater. “The convenience of the greenway and the light rail makes this community an ideal location with easy access to local employers, retailers and restaurants.”
RangeWater has a track record of successful projects in the Charlotte area, including Penrose and The Mason, both of which the company developed and sold, The Collins, which just celebrated its 100th lease, and The Artistry at LoSo (Charlotte’s Lower South End), where move-ins are underway. RangeWater currently has 9 active projects in N.C. totaling over 2,500 units, including apartments under third-party management.
