Emily Sweitzer
Chief Legal Officer
Emily Sweitzer is the Chief Legal Officer for RangeWater Real Estate. In this role, she is responsible for all legal matters and risk management across the company. Emily is a member of RangeWater’s Executive Team and Investment Committee and sits on the Board of Directors of the RangeWater Impact Foundation.
Prior to joining RangeWater, Emily was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at a national homebuilder, where she had legal responsibility for land and development transactions, including acquisitions, joint developments, project financings, and build-to-rent programs. She began her legal career at King & Spalding LLP where her practice focused on acquisitions, dispositions, development, debt financings, and joint ventures.
Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College and her Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law. She is a member of the Residential Neighborhood Development Council (RNDC-Gold) and Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) of Urban Land Institute. Emily serves on the Georgia Advisory Board of the Trust for Public Land and is an active volunteer for Candler Park Conservancy and the Paideia School. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, Perry, and sons, Peter and Matthew.
