Michael joined the RangeWater Real Estate team when the company was originally founded in 2006. For over 10 years, he served as Managing Director of Development before transitioning to his current position as Chief Operating Officer in 2017. In that position, he serves in a senior leadership role on both the Executive Team and the Investment Committee. Michael’s focus is centered on the organization, operational performance, and efficiency of the entire team, as well as improving communication and processes for planning and execution among all divisions of the company. 

Michael’s extensive leadership and project management experience in both construction and real estate development have proven to be valuable assets for RangeWater. He forged strong and productive relationships across the company through his previous role. His prolific background in construction and design helps him oversee and offer valuable insight into the successful planning, execution, and completion of each project the firm develops. Michael works closely with all senior department heads to ensure continuity among all business divisions. 

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). A native Atlantan, Michael supports all of the local sports teams, especially the Braves and Falcons, and he has also coached numerous youth sports. Michael enjoys playing tennis and spending time and traveling with his wife, Krissie, and children Ben, Will, and Jane Brooks.
