Tara Hughey, CCIFP, is the Controller for RangeWater Construction. In this role, Tara oversees all accounting functions for the construction company. This includes leadership in executing strategic financial objectives, timely and accurate analysis and reporting of budgets, financial statements, and forecasts, while also managing day-to-day operations. 

Tara joined RangeWater Construction in April of 2022, shortly after the new entity was formed, and was instrumental in establishing accounting functions and getting the department up and running. Her 20+ year industry experience began in project accounting for a local general contractor and expanded to serving as a Senior Accountant, followed by Accounting Manager for an Atlanta-based Top 50 Southeast Regional contractor specializing in higher education facilities and multifamily buildings. 

Tara graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Philosophy certificate. She is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and a former member of Toastmasters, where she served in multiple leadership roles, including President. In her spare time, Tara is an avid runner and enjoys cheering on her son playing football and soccer. She resides in Suwanee, GA, with her husband David, son Liam, and their spoiled pets.
